The 1235U, like other U series chips, focuses on efficiency over speed. It handles daily tasks okay but only has two performance cores and some helper cores. This design aims to save energy, but needs OS and apps that support it well. Gamers sometimes turn off the extra cores. For everyday use, it works fine and is similar to an 11th-gen U chip in performance and may be more power-efficient.

From my experience with a low-power 12th gen Intel hybrid CPU, I don’t see real benefits from Thread Director compared to normal multicore chips. The complexity doesn’t seem worth it, especially in low-power models where performance and efficiency don’t improve much.
