This kit from Crucial "CT2K16G4SFRA32A" works perfectly.

Does it have two RAM slots? Can the battery be replaced or upgraded to a bigger one?

Yes there are 2 RAM slots available, my variant had only 1x 8GB RAM by default, but upgraded to 32GB (2x 16GB) kit from Crucial "CT2K16G4SFRA32A"

Hi, can anyone confirm if this laptop has a second M.2 slot plus one SSD or SATA slot? I saw another Acer an515-44-r0xr with 2 M.2 slots and 1 SSD/SATA slot, Ryzen 5 4800H, 12GB RAM, and same Nvidia card. Which is better for Premiere Pro editing: this Acer with i5 or that Ryzen 5? Thanks.

Yes, there is a secondary M.2 and SATA slot, but SATA needs a special adapter to connect a new drive.

I bought a Samsung 980 Pro 1TB to upgrade. It's in the second slot but only shows 3,500 MB/s speed. How can I get full speed? Should I try slot 1?

This laptop’s motherboard has a PCIe Gen 3 slot maxing at 3500 MB/s. If you use a Gen 4 PCIe SSD, it will run at Gen 3 speeds. But buying Gen 4 SSD now is smart if you plan to upgrade laptops later, as new laptops and desktops support Gen 4 and will run it faster.

I have the AN-515-57 RTX3060, but the battery is a problem. It says 8 hours in ads, but mine lasts less than 2 hours. Should I get a new battery? It’s been like this since day one. Please explain.

You need manual tuning for power plan. But then the laptop will be very slow.
