This phone’s CPU doesn’t support HDR or Dolby Vision. Xiaomi is misleading us. Qualcomm site says only HLG is supported, no HDR playback. Also, no 10-bit support but screen is 12-bit. What’s going on?

I found the Chinese version doesn’t support HDR streaming on YouTube or Netflix, though Netflix shows Dolby Vision as supported. Maybe software decoding causes lag. What’s the point of a top screen if hardware can’t handle it?

Cheezas, Let's wait for reviews of global models launching this month. They should be okay.

JGB, None of the versions, global, Chinese, or Indian, support HDR, even the rebranded Poco X6. Xiaomi doesn’t list HDR10 or HDR10+ on their site. So no HDR videos on YouTube, Netflix, or Amazon. Dolby Vision is only on top Netflix plans. Qualcomm’s new 7 series chip in 2024 also lacks native HDR. Very disappointing.

The global version supports eSIM, funny enough.
